  Summary of Profile

Professor Olugbenga Amu, the immediate past Head, Ikole Campus of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, is an accomplished scholar and experienced university administrator. He obtained an Ordinary National Diploma (OND, Civil Engineering) in 1986, Bachelor of Science (B.Sc., Civil Engineering) in 1991, Master’s of Engineering (M.Eng) in Civil Engineering, (Transportation Engineering Option) in 2000 and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Construction Engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, OAU in 2006. He is a member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (MNSE) and Registered Engineer of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).

Professor O. O. Amu has about 26 years’ experience as a professional Civil Engineer, especially in the areas of Construction and Transportation Engineering. He has worked withDelkem Associates Consulting Engineers, Maryland, Lagos (1993-94) as a Structural/Project/Resident Engineer. He started his lecturing career with Civil Engineering Department, Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti, (1994-2002), Lecturer, Civil Engineering Department, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, (2002-2012). Professor and pioneer Head, Department of Civil Engineering, Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, (2012-2016), pioneer Ag. Dean of the Faculty, pioneer Associate Dean of the Faculty, former Ag. Director, Physical Planning Unit (PPU), former Director, Innovation and Research Ventures, former Portal Manager of the university and a member of the University's Governing Council.
